I have a wide range of music tastes. I listen to Christian, Country, Pop, Hip-Hop, Rhythm & Blues, Rap, Classic
Rock, Heavy Metal, Reggae, and everything in between. My poetic taste is the same. On this page you will find
poetry I have written. Most of my poetry deals directly with my personal life: people I love, people I hate, people
who have rejected me, mistreated me, and broken my trust. Therefore, if you intend on reading the poetry I have posted
to this page, my "background" in this paragraph is not necessary, because my poetry tells the story of my life.
I have always wanted to publish my poetry. I never was interested in using the internet as a medium to do so, but
I don't yet have enough poems to publish a book, and having them on the internet could potentially mean more people have access
to my poetry. Although I know I probably won't ever have a classroom-type following, I never expected to in the first
place. I write poetry to express my emotions. I have no other motive. I don't write poetry for fame or wealth.
If that were true, I would have failed miserably. In fact, the only reason I am publishing my poetry at all is for the
benefit of the reader. If one person reads one of my poems and it gives them a different perspective on life,
and something in their life changes for the better because of one of the poems I have written, then I have succeeded.
